Introduction to Lettering and Brush Calligraphy

In light of teaching workshops at Wet Paint Art this fall, I wanted to share some of the things I’ll be teaching with folks who aren’t in town.  In the video below I go over some different sub-categories of that word “lettering” and tips for technique and supplies for brush calligraphy specifically.

Supplies I mention:

  1. please keep offering classes at wet paint art! I didn’t realize you were teaching classes until it had completely filled up. I’d love to attend one and learn about all of your tips and tricks!

  2. Hi! I’m using the same Crayola marker, and I was wondering when you do the thick down strokes, do you tilt the pen more or use more pressure or a combination to create a thicker line? It’s really rough and jagged when I tilt the pen more or less to get thin or thick. But when I press harder or softer, the difference isn’t very obvious. Luv ya soooo much :))
