In the last two years, Leuchtturm notebook has been the name of the game for the Bullet Journal system – so much so, that people consider them one and the same. Â And, although I love different notebooks I’ve used, I continue to review new ones because I think we should have options and find the ones that work for each of us and our varied tastes, color preferences, pet peeves, and *gulp*, budgets. Â Finding our own style also translates to finding our perfect bullet journal notebooks. Â Today I’m reviewing the Bondibook notebook, sent to me by the creator, and sharing how you can buy one get one free!
Note: This post has been sponsored by Bondibook, but know that all opinions are honest, and my own. I will always give my honest opinion about my experience, and negotiate to do so – your trust will always be most important to me!
First of all, I was impressed by the packaging – this box is just a touch of class upon arrival.
I got an A4 size (navy) and an A5 size (gray).
Shall we dig into it?!
In comparison to the A5 Leuchtturm, the A5 Bondibook is just a touch taller and a touch thicker. Â The Bondibook has 10 more pages than the Leuchtturm, so very comparable. The cover is slightly thicker than the Leuchtturm but not as thick or “cushy” as the Rhodia hardcover- and has a pebbly leathery finish, a classy touch.
This notebook also has an index. Â Besides the Leuchtturm, the Clairefontaine Basics notebook is one of the only other notebooks I’ve seen with a dedicated Index in the front if you’re someone who uses the Index and/or is tired of drawing that out.
The dots are similarly spaced as other notebooks – about 5mm – and there is a blank border around the pages, whereas other notebooks have dots to the edge. Â The pages are numbered (thank goodness LOL), and they are just BARELY more yellow than the Leuchtturm or Rhodia. Â The dots on the pages are a touch darker than the Leuchtturm.
The notebook also lays flat, which can be helpful if you keep your notebook on your desk.
The Bondibook has a back pocket and 2 bookmarks – the same as the Leuchtturm and one more than the Rhodia and many other notebooks.

Of course the most important part!! The pen test!
I tested a few gel different black gel pens and felt tip pens, as well as a few highlighters, fountain pens, and brush pens.
Besides the etching of the pens, the pages hold up so well to pens and ink! Â Minimal ghosting, which has always bothered me in other notebooks, and absolutely no bleed. Â Once you write on the other side I don’t think it is noticeable at all.
I am a gel pen gal myself, so you’ll notice I don’t have pencils or ballpoint pens here – but I can suffice it to say that pencils probably don’t ghost on the other side. I am not a ballpoint girl – but I imagine the big thing there is the indentation on the page from using pressure.
Overall
Here are the big differentiators that I can pinpoint:

Thank you for this review and THANKS to both you and Bondibook for the discount code! You’ve convinced me! 🙂
I’m a sucker for notebooks and pens. Jessica you’ve convinced me to try the Bondibook. I’ve placed an order for the A5 dot grid. Thanks to you & Bondibook for the discount.
Thank you for such a thorough review! I’m a little unhappy with my current special edition Gold Leuchtturm. They’ve changed the position of the dots on the page (they start way too high) and they changed the number of dots on the page. These Bondibooks sound like just want I need. I’ve already placed my order with the discount code and was surprise by the free shipping – win/win!!!
Thank you! I just ordered and used this amazing discount! I am so excited!!! Thank you so much!

Thank you so much for the review + discount code!
I’ve been having a tough time deciding what my next planner would be, and have ordered an A4 & A5… super excited to try them out! 😀
I love a good notebook and while I’m nowhere near the end of my LT I know I won’t be purchasing another. The paper is too thin and the ghosting too much. Thanks for putting Bondibook on my radar!

THANK YOU for the 411 on Bondibook!! Mine should be shipping soon!!
OMG … looks like I’m not the only one who couldn’t type fast enough to snatch up this amazing offer!!! I am not all that jazzed with my beautiful, but (IMHO) flawed Leuchtturm … paper not as great, hate the date on every page / have to white out for my list pages, and the ghosting is just a problem for my Tombows, so I’m VERY excited to try the Bondibook, glad other companies are throwing their hats in the ring. Jess, you ‘da best! Appreciate this and will let you know how it works out. Love your reviews, BTW!!!
You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I to find this topic to be really something which I think I would never understand. It sort of feels too complex and extremely wide for me. I’m looking forward on your subsequent publish, I’ll attempt to get the dangle of it!
Nice blog here! Also your website rather a lot up very fast! What host are you the usage of? Can I get your affiliate hyperlink on your host? I wish my website loaded up as quickly as yours lol
