My August Bullet Journal Setup
July 31, 2016Crazy to believe it but this marks about a YEAR of me blogging about the bullet journal and hand lettering. I started this endeavor a year ago as a way to add my voice to a budding bullet journal community through the #PlanWithMeChallenge. Over the next twelve months I could not have anticipated what would unfold for me. This community has given me so much and it’s time to celebrate with a giveaway!
I’ve learned so much about not only the community but myself as well. There were things I NEVER imagined would be possible and day after day it slowly was. It only makes sense to go back to my roots for this giveaway – featuring Foxy Fix, May Designs, and JetPens. Once I settled on the traveler’s notebook system, I discovered and loved Foxy Notebook covers as an easy way to organize my chaos. Inside, I put the beautiful May Designs inserts, and used a whole new world of pens I discovered on Jetpens.com. And now you’ll have a chance to win that bundle for yourself!

PRETTYPRINTS&PAPER BLOGIVERSARY PRIZE
The winning bundle includes:
- Foxy Notebook Cover in Rowena, Classic No 8 (perfect for an A5!)
- Foxy Dashboard
- $50 May Designs shop credit to customize your own notebooks
- $25 Pretty Prints Shop credit to use once my shop opens in a couple weeks!
- Some of my favorite goodies from JetPens, including: Pilot Juice pens, a roll-up pen case, Pentel Sign brush pen, Tombow Fudenosuke soft tip, Staedtler Fineliners, Stabilo Fineliners
HOW TO ENTER:
- The Instagram policies effective June 1 made it more difficult for giveaway widgets like these because they won’t allow for Follows on Instagram – so I’m trying my best to make those things clear in how to enter below – thanks for your grace!
- Important: The giveaway widget will say “Visit an Instagram Page” but I will check that you’ve followed me @PrettyPrintsAndPaper, and my fabulous partners @theFoxyFix, @JetPens, and @MayDesigns on Instagram
- Tip: If you want to gain an extra entry by reposting the giveaway image on your Instagram feed, share the image with hashtag #PPP50KGiveaway first before entering the giveaway
- Click here for more ways to enter the Pretty Prints & Paper 50K Giveaway!

Hi Jessica! 🙂 It was just my birthday so I think it would be awesome to win, ha ha! My question – when you first set up your weekly layout, how did you know how much space to allot to each part? (I.e. each rectangle for the day of the week) Do you keep notes on how many squares to count across or something? Super specific, I know!!

What a great giveaway!
Since I started reading your blog about a month ago, I’ve been considering trading out my Moleskine for a traveler’s notebook. My biggest concern, though, is that I will lose the inserts. Do you have any tricks to keep that from happening?
I have used a Leuchtturm 1917 and a Moleskin. I have been considering using a TN. What would you say are the pros and cons?
crossing my fingers – I’ve been trying to get more journaling done and now need to start doing it for work. This would be a great system to use!
This is a fabulous giveaway! Keep on doing what you’re doing
What an awesome giveaway! Thank you for the opportunity.
Thank you for the opportunity! I was curious if you had any tips for anyone who was looking to get into teaching. I have been considering education as a career but haven’t decided whether I’d want to teach younger kids, or at a college level (:
Happy anniversary! I’ve only just joined the bujo community about 4 months ago. I love seeing your post along with Kara, Kim and Dee. All the challenges you guys made are amazing! I was hoping you could do a video or even some post on your challenges and your interpretations?
Hi Jessica. Thank you for the opportunity to such luxurious bullet journal supplies. Speaking of supplies: being new to the bullet journaling community I’m truly blown away the outstanding talent displayed here in the Bujo Community. Everyday in the Bujo world I find a beautifully creative functional new spread, a fantastic idea that’s either relative or the exact same issue that I’ve trying to resolve in my own planning process. It’s remarkable how every time I’m uncertain about anything Bujo-related the members of this outstanding community are always so patient and sincere in offering to assist us, although the questions can get to be excessively repetitive, you all, (the bullet journal brass, namely you Jess, all of you highly advanced seasoned experts are always kind in your response. Being new our names are unfamiliar but our questions, requests for pictured examples, how to’s, and even our pesky questions about price from penny pinchers including me, are quickly addressed with a wealth of information, advice, suggestions, recommendations, encouraging remarks when we don’t see the progress we’d hoped for, and results don’t happen quickly enough…you all are always understanding towards new bullet journalists uncertain about what to do next. You all lead by example and have set the bar high. The entire community is affected by your selfless generosity and warm disposition…so much so that it’s demonstrated throughout the community. Newbies like me don’t have to be intimidated by wanting to be a part of such a large group that share a common interest. Everyone here is always so genuine in extending offers in friendship, advice, help, examples, thoroughly explaining the requested information and offering additional assistance if necessary. I have to say it’s a truly remarkable the way different people from all over the country can form a community as special as what you guys have built here. I just wanted to express my sincere gratitude for welcoming me and my indecisiveness, uncertainty, and numerous questions into such an extraordinary group of people where I’ve already met some fantastic people who i now call friends. I’d like to request advice on how to become a successful blogger if you don’t mind. Thanks again Jess.
