Review: Chalkola Chalk Pens + Discount Code

Good morning friends! It’s been a while since I did a handlettering post! Today I’m sharing my thoughts about the Chalkola Chalk Pens.  I typically use these when I’m making signs and such for weddings and events, and it’s a throwback to when I used to do signs at my coffeeshop job.

The lovely folks at Chalkola sent me a set of their jumbo 15mm pens and their 6mm pens with a fun set of metallic markers as well – check out the video for my thoughts and swatches below.  Thoughts and opinions are my own!

Noticings:

• In the metallic pack, the silver, gold, and red were the most opaque ink, whereas the fuschia, green, blue colors were more translucent
• The caps don’t seem super secure – so be careful when throwing them around!

• Silver and gold are by far the most vibrant of the selection. They are ready to use immediately, no prep!

• The swatches on the left are how thick the tips are in the Jumbo size, and the names are written with the 6mm bullet tip.  These are the color options – I wish they had vibrant jewel tones but they are more muted and neon.
